Managing Director of the Open Recruitment and Practice Sales group, Richard Lonsdale was called upon to present awards, with Princess Anne, at the Gatcombe International Horse Trials this week.

The annual equestrian event is hosted at GatcombePark, the private country home of the Princess Royal. The house and farming estate were bought by the Queen for her daughter and the Princess Royal lives in the manor-house with her second husband, Rear-Admiral Timothy Laurence, who also attended the event.

The Gatcombe Horse Trials attracts international riders from all over the world and this year was no exception with the presence of many Olympian riders, including Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Phillips, who unfortunately had to pull out of the  British Olympic team, when her horse suffered an injury. For the event, this weekend, Zara  rode five of her less experienced horses.
