To get the best as an Open locum
Once you are registered as an Open locum you will receive a detailed welcome letter please take a little time to read this as it just helps to explain our process and systems.
Locum vacancies are generally filled on a first come first served basis so it is important that we are able to contact you quickly and that you respond in good time. It is vital that we have up to date contact numbers for you and that your mobile is switched on. Your locum consultant will always discuss any possible work with you before making bookings on your behalf as we believe this is best practice for you and our clients.
Your locum consultant will maintain an electronic calendar for you so please regularly update them with a quick call or email so that our systems will identify correctly when you want to work. Also please let us know if your geographical working area changes even if it is temporarily.
We understand that occasionally cancellations need to be made, if you need to cancel a day at work we ask that you let us know as soon as possible so that we have time to find a replacement for our clients.
